Location visit to Carrara, famous for where Michelangelo sourced his marble for the David. Carrara has produced marble since Roman Times. We visited a quarry and inside the basin where marble is extracted. Nearby, Studio Nicoli is a century and a half old artistic laboratory. Dedicated to artistically processing marble and granite, it is a UNESCO heritage site with a message of peace.
